Position Summary

Logistics and Operations Manager

This role is responsible for identifying prospective shippers and negotiating truckload rates with them. A strong command of the English language and excellent communication skills are essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and solicit freight sales opportunities to increase revenue growth.
  • Negotiate truckload rates with drivers and carriers, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Document key aspects of shipper and carrier transactions, maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with shippers and carriers throughout the freight delivery process, resolving any issues promptly.
  • Monitor and track domestic freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Strong math and accounting skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Ability to make informed decisions, based on data analysis and market trends.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires strong interpersonal skills and a passion for the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a transportation industry role, such as an account manager or dispatcher.
