Job Description:

As a skilled and detail-oriented business proposal writer, you will be responsible for researching, drafting, editing, and submitting high-quality business proposals and bids in response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) across various platforms. This role demands excellent communication skills, a strong grasp of business writing, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them.
  2. Develop and submit compelling business proposals and bids that meet all submission requirements and compliance standards.
  3. Collaborate with Proposal Managers to develop proposal outlines and manage proposal timelines.
  4. Write, edit, and compile proposal content, including executive summaries, resumes, and project descriptions.
  5. Maintain quality and consistency in proposal content using templates and established proposal-writing standards.
  6. Organize and update all related proposal documentation, track and maintain a log of submitted bids and their outcomes, and ensure compliance with RFP criteria.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Hold a degree in English Language and Literature.
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in business proposal writing or bidding preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience with government proposals and/or technical proposals is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience bidding on freelance marketplaces like Upwork is an asset.
  • Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills are essential.
  • Strong research abilities, understanding of RFP sourcing and evaluation, and familiarity with freelance marketplaces and bidding strategies are required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently under pressure, manage multiple projects, deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical thinker with attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
