Mental Health Professional Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate mental health professional to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality mental health services, including individual and group counselling, psychotherapy, and psychosocial support. They will work closely with clients and their families to develop personalized care plans, promote mental well-being, and enhance quality of life.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based psychological services for clients with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues.
  • Engage in clinical and supportive supervision to ensure excellent practice standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, internal and external stakeholders to deliver comprehensive mental health services.
  • Develop and implement safety plans, risk assessments, and other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in psychology with advanced qualifications in clinical psychology.
  • Experience working with NGOs or similar organizations.
  • At least 3 years' experience in mental health, preferably with refugees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure in low-resource contexts and maintain good relationships with colleagues and clients.
