Lead Corporate Lawyer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled corporate lawyer to join our team as a Lead Corporate Lawyer. This role will involve providing strategic legal advice, drafting and reviewing documents, and ensuring compliance to support informed decision-making and the achievement of organizational goals.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in corporate law, including contract management and dispute resolution;
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to apply complex legal concepts to real-world problems;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners;
  • A strong understanding of commercial law, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property;
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum qualification of LLB and 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm or as an in-house counsel at a reputable company;
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent research and analytical skills on legal propositions;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to manage multiple/diverse stakeholders while using sound judgment, initiative, discretion, and a proactive approach to work;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with lawyers, international colleagues, and business clients at all levels as a team player;
  • Ability to work on and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle work with utmost integrity.
