
Payroll Financial Transactions Specialist

Payroll administrators play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of an organization's financial transactions. The key responsibilities include processing payrolls for clients, handling starters and leavers, tax codes, and statutory payments.
Processing payrolls involves uploading pension contributions, including NHS pensions, and supporting compliance tasks. It also requires balancing payrolls using payment summaries and pension reports prior to review.
The ability to handle sensitive client and employee data with care is essential. Additionally, effective communication and collaboration with team members and managers are critical in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To excel as a payroll administrator, one should possess a proactive approach with personal drive and enthusiasm. Proficiency in Payroll Software such as Moneysoft and BrightPay is necessary, along with a solid understanding of UK payroll legislation including PAYE, RTI, statutory payments, and auto-enrolment.
A hands-on experience in processing end-to-end payrolls across different frequencies, as well as familiarity with payroll transitions, is highly beneficial. Strong planning, organization, and administration skills, combined with effective time management and prioritization abilities, are also essential.
