Maintenance Manager Job Description

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the mechanical engineering, maintenance, modification, and project activities within the organization to ensure asset integrity, reliability, availability, quality, and efficiency.

This role involves providing leadership and day-to-day guidance to the mechanical staff while coordinating effectively with internal and external interfaces to ensure plant and unit availability, reliability, quality, and efficiency. You will also provide direction for mechanical maintenance, fabrication, machining, welding, and NDT jobs to ensure execution as per required standards, safely, and within stipulated budgets and time frames.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering, maintenance, modification, and project activities to ensure asset integrity, reliability, availability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day guidance to the mechanical staff while coordinating effectively with internal and external interfaces.
  • Provide direction for mechanical maintenance, fabrication, machining, welding, and NDT jobs to ensure execution as per required standards, safely, and within stipulated budgets and time frames.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Engineering or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in maintenance/engineering team with minimum 2 years as a team leader in a process industry/large manufacturing facility.
  • Demonstrable skills in planning, scheduling, budgeting, proposals development, tender, and contracts development and administration.
  • Awareness and practical exposure to management of engineering changes and projects.
  • Must have managed some projects from conceptual design to commissioning and handover.
  • A proven track record of working on safety, health, and environment (SHE) management systems.
