Role Overview
Bids and Proposal SpecialistThis position involves preparing offers for Hitachi Energy's portfolio to both internal and external customers, in line with sales procedures based on clear enquiries for new and service sales.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations, considering the best product mix and appropriate technical and commercial factors. They will also ensure all proposals meet customer requirements and follow Hitachi Energy's techno-commercial, legal procedures, and guidelines.
Responsibilities- Develop and submit tenders that are well-documented and include full, accurate costs.
- Validate terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) with support from controlling, legal, SCM, HSE, operations, sales, and reporting managers.
- Collect and collate all necessary information for proposal preparation, including technical and cost elements.
- Initiate tender screening and support bid/no-bid analysis in coordination with the sales team, following applicable procedures.
- Participate in tender risk review processes.
- Collaborate with regional, segment, and support teams for timely submission and order handover, maintaining consistent information across opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably electrical power.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of Hitachi Energy products and systems.
- Understanding of customer products, applications, and processes.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
