Job Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and manage client relationships, with a strong understanding of financial standards, tax expertise, excellent communication skills, and proven leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client communications, respond to queries, and maintain high service standards
  • Prepare company accounts and review Corporation tax returns
  • Oversee and support junior accounting staff, including work review and training
  • Monitor and ensure timely delivery of client work and compliance with deadlines
  • Maintain internal processes and workflows for efficiency and accuracy
Required Experience & Skills:
  • A minimum of 5 years of UK accounting experience is essential
  • Demonstrated ability to manage staff and oversee workloads in a remote setting is highly valued
  • C1-level English proficiency (verbal and written) is required for effective client communication
  • Advanced Excel skills – including pivot tables, xlookups, and other formulas – are necessary
  • Experience working in a client-facing role within an accounting practice is preferred
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Qualifications:
  • ACCA or equivalent qualifications are required
  • Experience in an accounting firm is desirable
Preferred Technologies:
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Iris Elements)
