Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead our production team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations, meeting quality standards, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient production schedules to meet customer demands while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor daily production activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols in controlled environments.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures to ensure excellence.
  • Ensure understanding of sterile production area requirements, addressing issues related to contamination control, equipment sterilization, and machine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues or deviations from required quality standards.
  • Train and manage production staff to maintain productivity, safety, and ensure adherence to established procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure cost-effective operations through lean manufacturing practices.
  • Oversee machine maintenance and ensure all necessary equipment is in working order to minimize production downtime.
  • Coordinate raw material usage and collaborate with procurement to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Presentation of regular production reports for senior management and documentation of production processes for accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical, or related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in production management, preferably in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with wound care dressings, pain relief patches, surgical bandages & tapes, and sterilization processes.
  • Working knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and DRAP regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, as well as leadership and communication skills.
