Customer Marketing Specialist
OverviewThe Customer Marketing Specialist will report to the Head of Commercial Excellence and is responsible for driving sales and margin growth within Pharmacy Channels.
- Drive brand and pack channel mix to where profit growth lies – proactively.
- Invest in promotional activities against consumer objectives.
- Invest in winning customers through holistic strategies.
- Develop and execute trade channel strategies aligned with company growth objectives, focusing on channel-wise distribution optimization.
- Improve in-store visibility by deploying best-in-class trade tools, ensuring shopper engagement and call-to-action.
- Manage gross-to-net/trade investment budgets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, taking ownership of end-to-end trade spends.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across marketing, finance, sales, and supply chain functions.
- Manage promo line investments for A&P, ensuring tracking, forecasting, and execution.
- Support key trade investment pillars and active mix management in NRM work streams.
- Monitor and audit relevant commercial SOPs to ensure all actions align with provided guidelines.
- Conduct extensive market visits to gain channel insights and understand shopper trends.
- Implement planograms (activity grids) as per brand strategy and prepare merchandising guides for the sales team.
- Plan all elements of promotions, including order placement, forecasting, and local implementation team briefings in coordination with sales teams.
- Perform pre- and post-analysis for activities, evaluating consumer promotions and carrying forward key learnings for promotion quantities.
- Work closely with sales heads to identify opportunities for penetration into existing channels and distribution into new channels.
- Participate in joint business planning for key accounts and budget allocation, coordinating with marketing and sales to effectively deploy budgets for shelf rentals, periodic displays, multibuys, and R&A.
- Prepare trade promotion calendars on a quarterly basis and circulate them to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with area teams for best practices sharing and presenting Pakistan pharmacy channels.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications, or an equivalent qualification. A master's degree in management is preferred.
- A minimum of 4-5 years' experience in Trade Marketing or Brand Management in a reputable FMCG company.
- Effective communication skills and a command of the English language.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Good knowledge of trade marketing and brand plans.
- Understanding of distribution and logistics management.
- Management of budgets and financial regulations.
- Hands-on experience dealing with trade channels.
- Management of agencies and suppliers.
- Deep understanding of P&L, retail math, analytics, financial modeling, forecasting, etc.
- Problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and decision-making ability, with the capacity to handle ambiguity.
