Job Summary

A key partner in our journals' success, the Journal Manager will work closely with editorial and production teams to ensure smooth publication processes.

This role requires a strong research interest, excellent computer skills, and a focus on quality control and customer service.

Candidate Responsibilities
  • Process administration and quality control assessments to ensure usability for review purposes.
  • Verify completeness of metadata and e-files, including source files, for submitted and revised manuscripts.
  • Maintain manuscript availability for Editor(s) and/or Reviewers.
  • Evaluate usability and completeness of metadata and e-files for accepted manuscripts, ensuring their readiness for production.
  • Prioritize manuscript handling according to Service Level agreements set per journal.
  • Manage people records online.
  • Conduct keyword searches using search engines, maintaining records of keywords and search results.
  • Communicate effectively with Authors and Editors, answering or forwarding queries to relevant parties.
  • Provide feedback on content and metadata input quality, as well as supplier performance, to relevant stakeholders.
