Job Title: Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Security Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies and procedures to protect our assets and data.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security threats and weaknesses.
  • Monitor and Respond to Incidents: Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage Security Tools and Technologies: Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
  • Collaborate with IT Teams: Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate Employees: Educate employees about security best practices and awareness through training and awareness programs.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Cybersecurity Threats: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity threats and trends, and apply this knowledge to improve our security posture.
Requirements:
  • Qualification and Experience:
    • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • At least 2 years of experience in information security or a related role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
    • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
    • Ability to perform risk assessments and vulnerability assessments.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.

This is a full-time role requiring strong attention to detail and analytical skills. The work mode is office-based, with standard working hours and no requirement for remote work.
