">Expert Transport Optical Network Planning

Seeking a visionary transport optical network planner to lead end-to-end planning and design of our optical transport network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and deploy optical transport systems across new and existing networks.
  • Evaluate and validate vendor-proposed technical solutions to ensure alignment with network standards.
  • Conduct high-level design (HLD), low-level design (LLD), link budget analysis, and signal protection planning for transmission infrastructure.
  • Develop strategies for seamless integration of new optical platforms into the existing network.
  • Deliver detailed implementation and migration plans, ensuring optimal service provisioning and restoration capabilities.
  • Facilitate integration between the optical transport domain and upper-layer service domains.
  • Prepare and evaluate RFPs for Optical platforms, including Specification, Equipment, and professional services.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including wavelength plans, restoration maps, SOPs, MOPs, link inventories, and fiber route layouts.
  • Develop and maintain MOPs and SOPs for field engineers and technical support teams.
  • Engage continuously with network operations teams to address and optimize ongoing operational challenges.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of OTN, IPRAN, FTTS, and passive optical fiber infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience with high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD).
  • Proficiency in link budget analysis and signal protection planning.
  • Knowledge of transmission infrastructure and optical transport systems.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
