Job Description:

As a highly skilled Optical Fiber Deployment Specialist, you will be responsible for executing the deployment of optical fiber cables and integrating active and passive network elements in the North Region. Your expertise will involve leading fiber route surveys, coordinating with vendors to deploy optical fiber networks according to standards and specifications, and ensuring quality of work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deploying transmission network elements, including core optical nodes, and ensuring integration with newly deployed fiber.
  • Generating work orders in coordination with regional and peer teams for timely power and space arrangement to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Coordinating with network operations and maintenance centers (NOMC) to conduct proof of acceptance tests (PAT)/proof of area completion (PAC) for new fiber deployments.
  • Conducting factory testing for optical fiber cables/ducts/handholes.
  • Analyzing technical issues that may arise during project execution and facilitating coordination meetings among vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues and develop activity plans.
  • Ensuring both CMPak and vendor contractual obligations are met throughout project execution, from start to end, including acceptance.
  • Tracking equipment and resource availability with vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Organizing weekly and monthly meetings with service providers to analyze progress and resolve issues. Performing technical inspections and quality assurance.
  • Resolving technical issues promptly during project execution. Responsible for project closure and bill of quantities (BOQ) reconciliation upon successful project handover to NOMC.
  • Managing optical fiber cable deployment projects, ensuring high-quality fiber optics laying and testing according to quality of service (QoS) and testing standards.
  • Maintaining product drawings, specifications, and data sheets during implementation phases, including fiber quality audits and acceptance.
  • Managing FTTS/FTTH project deployments in the North Region.
  • Laying/metro fiber deployments and managing projects.
  • Verifying ROW and coordinating with relevant authorities.
