Job Description

As a seasoned Vendor Payment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payments to local and foreign vendors, in compliance with established credit periods and tax regulations.

Your primary focus will be on overseeing the vendor payment process, from initial receipt of invoices to final settlement, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing income tax compliance processes within SAP, including regular updates to withholding tax codes and taxonomy related to withholding taxes.

  • Ensure timely payments to local vendors, in compliance with EY policies and established credit periods.
  • Oversee timely payments to foreign vendors and coordinate with banks for import payments, ensuring compliance with tax laws and proper documentation.
  • Maintain and enhance income tax compliance processes within SAP, including setup of material codes and withholding tax codes.
  • Regularly update the taxonomy related to withholding taxes in accordance with changing regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all tax compliance and withholding requirements are met when processing payments to external vendors.

You will also be responsible for managing the payment status and schedules for special projects, ensuring that all project-related payments are made on time and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Furthermore, you will be required to reconcile vendor subsidiary ledgers with the accounting system, ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, and assess cash flow requirements related to vendor payment as per the credit period.

Proactive coordination with vendors to address any payment-related issues is essential to maintain positive relationships.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of proven experience in vendor payments, tax compliance, and financial reconciliation at supervisory level.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong knowledge of SAP and local tax compliance regulations is essential for this role.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required.
