Responsibilities
  • Develop end-to-end knits product from start to finish.
  • Support product development costing and price negotiation with suppliers.
  • Ensure timely sampling approval process and submission of lab dips bulk fabric color and quality.
  • Monitor T&A WIP regularly and report on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with buyers, suppliers and merchandising teams to negotiate prices, quantities and timescales.
  • Maximize customer interest at margin levels.
  • Bachelor effective relationships with customers, suppliers and channel partners.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure vendors/factories make timely schedules for these activities.
  • Verify that suppliers provide shipping documents in a timely manner after shipments.
  • Report to business leader as per requirements.
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and vendor compliance/documentation tasks.
  • Communicate regularly with buyers/merchant teams to update them on production and shipment status of garments.
  • Adhere to guidelines on assigned product categories and serve as key communicator for these areas.
  • Manage all operational activities from proto sample development to production tracking, fabric and trim development, and WIP updates.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers as designated by Sr Merchandiser/Assistant Merchandise Manager/Merchandise Manager.
  • Track critical path forecast delays and take corrective action if needed, presenting alternatives to buyers and line seniors.
  • Identify and diagnose production problems, working with suppliers to present solutions.
  • Oversee production in assigned factories and maintain liaison with QA Depts/Factory Management Team for quality inspections and delivery deadlines.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications:

  • 8-10 years working experience in merchandising.
  • Solid knowledge of garment manufacturing including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, knits and denim products.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, being highly detail-oriented.
  • Professional qualification in a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel, etc.
