Payroll and Provident Funds Specialist

The Payroll and Provident Funds Specialist is a critical role within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and employee benefits, including Gratuity and Provident Fund, while upholding adherence to applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll for all employees across various entities.
  • Manage payroll system, including staff additions and deletions, ensuring all changes are reflected accurately and timely.
  • Process loan and advance requests in accordance with internal guidelines, ensuring compliance.
  • Oversee exit formalities for departing employees, including final settlements and necessary accounting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations regarding income tax, SESSI, PESSI, EOBI, and professional tax.
  • Prepare and submit returns for SESSI, PESSI, and EOBI, ensuring timely compliance.
  • Timely submission of tax and statutory deductions to the government treasury.
  • Handling company's Provident Fund, including addition, deletion, and profit allocation for members.
  • Process loan applications, temporary withdrawals, and permanent withdrawal requests from Provident Fund members.
  • Accounting system management of provident funds, including annual profit distribution to fund members.
  • Coordinating with external auditors for audit preparation, ensuring necessary documentation and information are prepared and available.
  • Review and prepare Provident Funds tax returns, ensuring accurate and timely filing.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations related to payroll and employee benefits.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with internal teams and external auditors.
