Job Description:

This role leads the Quality Control team to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Quality Control Lead will develop, direct, and provide leadership for the implementation and continuous improvement of the plant's analytical quality systems, processes, and records.

Responsibilities:

  • Quality & Data Analysis – Lead the QC team to produce precise, accurate, and timely test and calibration data and act as the technical expert to maintain accurate and functional quality records on QC expectations for plant personnel.
  • Innovation and Development - Conduct Out of Specification investigations and maintain records and monitor OOS trends. Drive continuous improvements by applying scientific methodology and using root cause and statistical analysis tools to support recommendations for process improvements.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration and Communications – Work with operations and quality assurance to understand current demands on laboratory services. Direct the operation of the plant QC team to ensure the timely and proper release of products based on effective sampling, accurate and appropriate testing.
  • Training & Development – Provide training and technical support to Sample men, Analysts, Chemist, Sr. Chemist in the use of applicable analytical equipment and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors & Masters in Chemistry, Food Technology
  • 8 years' experience in Food or Pharma industry with experience within chemical laboratory
  • Exceptional communication skills
