Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

The Northwest General Hospital and Research Centre requires a Quality Assurance Specialist to drive its quality management initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures aligned with quality assurance guidelines, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Provide guidance on developing and delivering training sessions for staff, focusing on quality improvement and patient safety through interactive workshops and one-on-one coaching.
  • Collaborate with risk managers, health and safety experts, and patient experience teams to ensure effective implementation of quality assurance strategies that prioritize patient-centered care.
  • Design and monitor the hospital's quality improvement plan, utilizing data analytics to identify areas for improvement and optimize results.
  • Collect and analyze quality and safety data from various sources, including audits, accreditation reviews, incident reports, and staff/patient feedback to inform decision-making.
  • Communicate relevant information and provide education to support patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical risk management through clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Supervise direct reports, ensuring they effectively manage their areas of operational responsibility, including patient safety and quality improvement by providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Participate in internal trainings and contribute to determining the scope of internal audits and annual action plans to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university with a strong focus on healthcare administration or quality assurance.
  • Experience in healthcare quality assurance/management is an advantage, particularly in JCI/ISO accredited facilities.
  • Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a reputable hospital with a proven track record of driving quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, strong communication, and report writing skills are essential, with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply and concisely.
