Job Title: Regional Sales Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Director to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding market presence within a defined geographical area.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance: Achieve monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets within agreed timelines by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Market Monitoring: Regularly monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and other key performance indicators at institutional, customer, and distributor levels to ensure optimal sales strategies.
  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement effective marketing plans to increase brand awareness, drive sales growth, and expand market share within the medical devices industry.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with C-suite executives of key customers, fostering trust, understanding, and loyalty.
  • Market Feedback: Collect valuable insights from clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions to inform product development, advocacy, and sales strategies.
  • Personal Development: Continuously update knowledge and skills through self-study, training programs, and industry events to stay ahead in the field.
  • Database Management: Effectively manage and utilize sales databases to optimize call efficiency, identify new opportunities, and track progress.
  • Corporate Image: Uphold the highest standards of ethics and behavior, representing the organization professionally and positively in all interactions.
  • Customer Knowledge: Maintain in-depth understanding of customer profiles, large account requirements, and territory-specific dynamics.
  • Tender Preparation: Prepare and recommend tenders for business opportunities, ensuring thorough research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Account Maintenance: Foster and nurture existing large accounts, anticipating needs, resolving issues, and driving long-term growth.
  • Reporting: Provide regular, detailed reports on day-to-day activities, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree in a relevant science or related field (e.g., lab), or a Marketing degree with a strong aptitude for medical and technical information.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, particularly in the medical devices industry, with a proven track record of success.
