The Research Associate will play a key role in conducting policy research and analysis on various thematic areas and sectors of Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EE&C) in Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source primary baseline consumption data for key sectors of the economy, driving informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review, update, and strategize follow-up on national energy efficiency policies.
  • Develop policy advocacy materials such as white papers and impact evaluations to support evidence-based policy development.
  • Support establishing energy efficiency standards, programs, and labeling regimes to promote sustainable practices.
  • Identify barriers to EE promotion and initiate policy interventions to drive progress.
  • Contribute to the development of EE&C policies in collaboration with the project team.
  • Assist in establishing provincial/regional designated agencies to facilitate effective implementation.
  • Research frameworks in regional countries for setting up Energy Conservation Tribunals.

This position requires an energetic, motivational, and creative individual with a Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing postgraduate studies in a relevant field. At least 3-4 years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years in the energy sector, is preferred.
