Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Bids and Proposal Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing offers for Hitachi Energy's portfolio, ensuring timely submissions and responding to customer queries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, preferably electrical power, and 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. They should have good knowledge of Hitachi Energy products and systems, as well as an understanding of customer products, applications, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate competitive bids, estimates, and quotations, considering the best product mix and appropriate technical and commercial factors.
  • Ensure all proposals meet customer requirements and follow Hitachi Energy's techno-commercial, legal procedures, and guidelines.
  • Validate terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) with support from controlling, legal, SCM, HSE, operations, sales, and reporting managers.
  • Collect and collate all necessary information for proposal preparation, including technical and cost elements.
  • Initiate tender screening and support bid/no-bid analysis in coordination with the sales team, following applicable procedures.
  • Participate in tender risk review processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably electrical power.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of Hitachi Energy products and systems.
  • Understanding of customer products, applications, and processes.
  • Support sales teams in providing timely and quality quotations.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
