Technical Support Role Overview

A key summary of the technical support representative role is to provide top-notch service and support to end-users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, investigating, and resolving users' problems with computer software and hardware.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service through automated call distribution phone software and emails, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Monitoring and responding to events, error conditions, and threshold events in network monitoring systems and troubleshooting them effectively.
  • Interacting with customers to provide accurate and timely information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
  • Following standard processes and procedures for effective issue resolution.
  • Redirecting complex problems to the right resources.
Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong technical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple calls efficiently and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and other business productivity software.
  • Understanding of IT system fundamentals and system management tasks.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and operating systems.
  • Ability to clearly document and articulate technical issues in a concise manner.
  • Reliability, dependability, self-motivation, and a strong willingness to learn and grow.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
