Audio Transcription Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Audio Transcription Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transcription fundamentals and various types, including intelligent verbatim, edited, phonetic, and discourse analysis.

The successful applicant will have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to understand British accents, including Scottish and Welsh. They will also be proficient in audio/video transcription software like Otter AI and have experience translating documents between Urdu and English.

This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working independently and can manage their time effectively. As an Audio Transcription Specialist, you will work on a wide range of projects, from transcribing audio files to conducting quality control checks.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe audio files into text format
  • Ensure accuracy of source file throughout transcription process
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy of transcripts
  • Meet deadlines and complete tasks within allocated timeframe

Requirements & Skills:

  • Solid understanding of transcription fundamentals and various types
  • Knowledge of different transcription services such as strict verbatim, intelligent verbatim, edited, phonetic, and discourse analysis
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to understand British accents, including Scottish and Welsh
  • Effective time management skills
  • Proficiency with audio/video transcription software like Otter AI
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work
