Procurement Manager Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing and supervising all purchase-related activities.

  • Purchase Management: Ensure timely procurement of all items, including purchases, donations, and Medical and General store items.
  • Verification: Verify purchase orders and work orders according to quotations as outlined in the Purchase Manual.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the availability of all material needs at the most economical cost and within the minimum time frame.
  • Quality Control: Inspect receipts, process rejections and discrepancies, and resolve issues.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact between suppliers, the hospital, and end users.

Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers/vendors regarding prices, warranties, and after-sales service as necessary.

  • Price Verification: Regularly verify prices of items: compare prices on purchase orders and approved price lists.
  • Collaboration: Participate in regular meetings, including Purchase Committee meetings and HOD's monthly meetings.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with all departmental heads, especially the HoDs of IT, Biomedical, and Maintenance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records for Purchase Orders and Work Orders; prepare comparative statements if needed.

Adaptability: Prepare and work within the department's budget while performing any other tasks assigned by the Head of Department or Management, consistent with your knowledge and skills.
