Regional General Manager Job Description

Masters degree in Engineering/Business management is required to excel in this position.

The primary goal of the Regional General Manager is to maximize regional sales and revenue while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver regional business performance by overseeing the design, construction, and operation of the local access network.
  2. Ensure the availability of resources to each division for optimal performance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage Local Access Network:
    • Develop a local access network plan in collaboration with CTO and divisional heads.
    • Authorize and oversee the construction of the access network.
  • Oversee Customer Satisfaction:
    • Manage customer satisfaction levels in the region.
    • Ensure timely resolution of fault complaints.
    • Guarantee timely product installation.
  • Generate Sales:
    • Retail and expand the subscriber base.
    • Optimize existing revenue streams and generate additional revenue streams at the regional level.
  • Monitor Operational Performance:
    • Evaluate each division's performance against targets and take corrective action as necessary.
    • Control regional operations using SAP/CMS, integrated at HQ level.
    • Ensure resource availability for operations and maintenance.
  • Manage Facilities:
    • Ensure the safety and security of all organizational installations under jurisdiction.
  • Control Activities:
    • Ensure compliance with budgets, targets, and deadlines through cost-efficient controls.
    • Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Undertake Performance Management:
    • Evaluate employee performance.

Primary KPIs:

  • Restore networks within stipulated time frames.
  • Achieve revenue targets.
  • Meet PSTN gross and net sales targets.
  • Reduce registered faults within specified timeframes.
  • Reduce PSTN repeat fault percentage to predefined levels.
  • Provide quality service to customers.

Secondary KPIs:

  • Ensure the success of divisional revamp projects.
  • Evaluate subordinate performance.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in network operations and management (12+ years).
