About The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating storage clusters on AWS, ensuring resilience, reliability, and scalability of services. They will also be responsible for automating and scaling systems while ensuring security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain Kafka clusters and their ecosystems to enhance deployment speed and improve products used by millions daily.
  • esign, develop, and operate storage clusters on AWS, supporting tooling and creating technical processes to simplify and enable engineering efforts across multiple services.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response improvements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in developing, operating, and troubleshooting storage clusters or highly available systems at scale.
  • Experience running Kafka on Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Go, Python, Java, Groovy, Scala, Ruby.
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code) and a strong Unix/Linux background, including networking and scripting. Incident response/management experience is a plus.
  • Additional skills in automation topics such as monitoring, CI/CD, and security are advantageous.
