Responsibilities:

1. Desktop Support:

  • Provide support for LAN issues and ensure network connectivity.

  • Assist users with application support, resolving software and hardware issues.

  • Maintain an inventory of desktop equipment and manage updates and patches.

2. Server Monitoring:

  • Monitor virtual machines, application servers, and file servers.

  • Track CPU, storage, and memory utilization to ensure optimal performance.

  • Perform routine health checks and report any anomalies.

3. Network Monitoring:

  • Utilize Network Monitoring Systems (NMS) to oversee routers, switches, and proxy servers.

  • Monitor bandwidth usage and identify top talkers.

  • Ensure WiFi networks are functioning correctly and troubleshoot any connectivity issues.

4. Incident Management:

  • Respond to and resolve system and network incidents promptly.

  • Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.

  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.

5. Maintenance and Upgrades:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of system and network upgrades.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.

  • Apply security patches and updates to systems and applications.

6. User Training and Support:

  • Provide end-user training on system and network usage.

  • Create and maintain user guides and documentation.

7. ISMS Documentation Records Keeping:

Maintain and update Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation.

Ensure all records are accurately kept and comply with organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in system and network support.

  • Knowledge of server and network monitoring tools.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
