Event Operations Manager

The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Event Operations Manager to oversee the planning and execution of our events. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to determine event specifics and expectations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the process.
  • Oversee all event details, including decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, venue selection, guest list, special guests, equipment, promotional materials, and other logistical requirements.
  • Coordinate event operations, encompassing food and beverage service, setup and breakdown, and guest management, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
  • Elevate the quality of culinary offerings, beverages, and overall presentation, adhering to high standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
  • Manage event finances effectively, ensuring accurate accounting and efficient use of resources.
  • Work closely with staff, including caterers, decorators, and event planners, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Maintain rigorous health, safety, and sanitation standards, prioritizing the well-being and safety of all stakeholders.
  • Resolve customer complaints and address any issues that arise during the event, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management, ensuring seamless integration with operational processes.
  • Train and supervise banquet staff, developing their skills and expertise to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Assess and evaluate event success, providing constructive feedback for improvement and identifying areas for growth and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, allowing for efficient planning and execution of complex events.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance and adherence to industry standards.
  • Experience in event planning or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of operational processes and best practices.
