As a Construction Infrastructure Manager, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission by overseeing the development and implementation of construction projects that benefit vulnerable populations.
Job Description:The Construction Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for managing all construction activities in the Country Office, including school infrastructures, health centers, and other facilities. This involves preparing annual work plans, collaborating with UNICEF programs and operations, coordinating with government counterparts, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction annual work plans;
- Collaborate with UNICEF programs and operations and coordinate with government counterparts;
- Prepare design and technical documents;
- Support procurement process;
- Monitor construction projects;
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To qualify for this position, you must have an advanced university degree (master's or above) or equivalent in civil engineering, construction engineering, architecture, or another relevant technical area. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in project management, site supervision, quality assurance, and/or other directly related technical fields is also required.
In addition to your technical expertise, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of another official UN language or local language of the duty station is considered an asset.
