The Business Intelligence (BI) Resource is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that transform raw data into meaningful and actionable insights. This role involves data collection, integration, visualization, and analysis to support data-driven decision-making across the organization

Key Responsibilities

1. BI Development & Reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as
    Power BI
    , Tableau, or other BI platforms.
  • Create and manage data models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
  • Build automated reports and self-service BI tools for stakeholders.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

  • Gather requirements from business units to understand their analytical needs.
  • Analyze trends, patterns, and key metrics to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Translate complex data into clear, concise insights for non-technical stakeholders.

3. Data Management & Integration

  • Collaborate with database administrators and IT teams to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
  • Maintain documentation for data sources, transformation logic, and reporting processes.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business departments (Finance, Academics, Marketing, Operations, HR, etc.) to deliver relevant KPIs and performance reports.
  • Train end-users on BI tools, dashboards, and reporting functionalities.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting support.

5. Performance Optimization

  • Optimize queries, reports, and dashboards for performance and user experience.
  • Monitor BI system usage and recommend improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in BI tools:
    Power BI
    , Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
  • Strong
    SQL
    skills for querying and manipulating data.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with BI development, data modeling, and data visualization.
  • Exposure to large datasets and multiple data source integrations.
