About the role

We're developing an AI-driven platform that creates and updates training content for regulated sectors such as health, care, and education.You'll be our founding engineer (or part of a small core team) responsible for shipping a production-ready product end to end.

What you'll do

  • Build the full stack:
    UI → API → DB → AI layer
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation (
    LLM/RAG
    ) with citations from approved sources
  • Create prompt templates and deterministic "agents" to produce outputs (slides, quizzes, SCORM/xAPI, blogs)
  • Develop background jobs, queues, and schedulers for automations and site monitoring (e.g., Ofsted/CQC)
  • Set up multi-tenant data models, access controls, audit logs, and basic cost/rate limits
  • Collaborate on product/UX for simple, reliable workflows

Must-have experience

  • 4+ years in
    full-stack
    product engineering + or Python)
  • Hands-on with
    LLMs and RAG
    (embeddings, chunking, metadata filters, citations)
  • Solid API design, Postgres schema design, and background processing (Redis/Celery/RQ/SQS)
  • Building web connectors/scrapers with respect for and rate limits
  • Security basics: role-based access, PII handling, logging/observability

Nice to have

  • SCORM/xAPI, content export pipelines (PPTX/Google Slides)
  • UX for chat/form flows; DevOps (CI/CD, secrets, cost controls)
  • GDPR/UK compliance familiarity; Playwright, n8n/Zapier
