The RoleWe're seeking a Senior Internal Controls Analyst to evaluate and strengthen Nysonian's internal control frameworks across financial and operational processes. You'll focus on identifying control gaps, mitigating risks, and promoting compliance while working independently from day-to-day financial reporting.
This role provides the opportunity to lead risk-based audits, support compliance initiatives, and partner across teams while maintaining an independent perspective on risks and process integrity.
What You'll Do- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls across financial and operational processes
- Lead and support risk-based audits, assessments, and compliance reviews
- Identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and risks; recommend sustainable improvements
- Monitor remediation efforts and validate corrective actions for timely resolution
- Collaborate with business units, finance, and compliance teams to strengthen controls
- Enhance internal control frameworks and testing methodologies
- Stay updated on emerging risks, best practices, and regulatory changes
- Prepare and present concise audit reports and findings to management
- Support the development and execution of the annual audit plan
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or CPA/CA/CIA preferred)
- 4–6 years of experience in internal controls, audit, risk management, or assurance
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) and auditing standards
- Familiarity with ERP systems, audit tools, and data analytics
- Proven ability to identify risks, design effective controls, and present findings clearly
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Independent thinker with integrity and objectivity
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly problem-solving focused
- Confident communicator with the ability to present to senior leadership
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
- Able to balance oversight with practical, business-focused recommendations
