Position Title: Senior IT & Network Administrator

Department: IT & Infrastructure

Reports To: IT Manager / Head of IT

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior IT & Network Administrator with a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, endpoint security, and network administration. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Management, WDAC, Global Secure Access, and Fortigate Firewalls. This role involves managing enterprise-grade security solutions, optimizing IT infrastructure, and ensuring high availability and security of the network environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead administration and management of Microsoft Intune for endpoint lifecycle management, compliance, and application deployments.
  • Oversee configuration, monitoring, and optimization of Microsoft Defender and Endpoint Security solutions across the enterprise.
  • Design, implement, and enforce WDAC (Windows Defender Application Control) policies to strengthen device and application security.
  • Manage Global Secure Access (Zero Trust principles) to ensure secure connectivity for remote and hybrid workforce.
  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Fortigate Firewalls, including advanced routing, VPN setup, IPS/IDS, and high-availability clusters.
  • Conduct regular network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and security audits.
  • Respond to security incidents, investigate threats, and apply remediation strategies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT infrastructure with business continuity and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain updated documentation of systems, configurations, and IT policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3+ years of proven experience in IT & Network Administration with a focus on security and endpoint management.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Microsoft Intune (device enrollment, compliance, policies)
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
  • WDAC (Windows Defender Application Control)
  • Global Secure Access / Zero Trust solutions
  • Fortigate Firewalls (advanced configuration, VPNs, routing, IPS/IDS)
  • Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, IPSec, SSL).
  • Hands-on experience in incident response and security hardening.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Relevant certifications preferred:
  • Fortinet NSE (4 or higher)
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, Security Operations Analyst, or Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • CompTIA Security+ / Network+
