Position Summary

The IT Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Japan Electronics' network infrastructure across all branches and project sites. This role ensures
high availability, security, and efficiency
of IT systems to support daily operations and the long-term growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain
    LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, and related network infrastructure
    , including integration with internal & external ERP systems.
  • Monitor
    network performance
    and proactively troubleshoot connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
  • Manage and configure
    firewalls, routers, switches, and access points
    in alignment with company security policies.
  • Ensure
    data security
    through effective backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and compliance with IT security protocols.
  • Provide
    tier-2/3 technical support
    to internal teams for network-related issues.
  • Maintain updated
    network diagrams, documentation, and asset records
    .
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve complex issues and optimize services.
  • Support
    IT projects
    , including new site rollouts, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Implement
    best practices for cybersecurity
    , ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
  • Mentor and guide
    junior IT staff
    in troubleshooting and network support.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
    .
  • 3–5 years
    of proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar IT role.
  • Strong knowledge of
    LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, Wi-Fi
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Cisco, Mikrotik, Fortinet, or similar devices
    .
  • Expertise in
    firewall configuration
    and cybersecurity practices.
  • Knowledge of
    server infrastructure (Windows/Linux)
    and cloud-based services is a plus.
  • Strong
    problem-solving mindset
    and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent
    communication, reporting, and documentation skills
    .
