About the Role:

This is not a traditional data role. We are seeking a Business Data Operations Specialist who can own, manage, and simplify all mission-critical data streams across the company — from revenue and billing to churn, client performance, team productivity, and real-time reporting.

You will be the backbone of our startup, building a single source of truth that empowers leadership, drives accountability, and accelerates both internal performance and client-facing impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business & Revenue Data Management

Track revenue, billing, invoicing, paid/unpaid accounts, churn, and client expansion opportunities.

Maintain up-to-date dashboards for real-time visibility on business health.

Ensure client-specific data is structured by industry, services, and origin.

• Operational Data Oversight

Manage task allocation data for account managers, designers, and support teams.

Monitor project deadlines, workload distribution, and internal KPIs.

Provide timely, actionable reports to accelerate delivery and accountability.

• Client-Facing Reporting & Case Studies

Prepare client-ready performance dashboards (ROI, campaign results, benchmarks).

Send timely reports that create urgency and accountability for client payments.

• Governance, Automation & Efficiency

Build SOPs for periodic checks, updates, and data refresh to prevent errors or lags.

Automate recurring reporting pipelines (BI tools, Google Sheets, or custom scripts).

Compare cost vs. output of tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, CRMs) to optimize ROI.

• Analytics & Strategic Insights

Drill into data at company, client, department, and employee levels.

Generate insights on improvements vs. decline in business performance.

Provide leadership with simplified dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio for decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5 years experience in data operations, analytics, or business reporting (startup, SaaS, or fintech preferred).
• Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, ).
• Understanding of financial metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, expansion revenue).
• Comfort with data scraping/enrichment tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
• Exceptional organizational and deadline management skills — thrives under pressure.
• Strong communicator: can turn complex data into clear insights for leadership and clients.
• Self-starter mindset: proactive, resourceful, and capable of owning data like a co-founder.

Base Pay: $250 - $500 USD / mo
