About the Role

We're hiring an
IT Systems & Infrastructure Support Intern
for a
3-month internship
with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance.

This role is designed for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in IT support and systems administration. You'll work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, and support employees with their day-to-day technology needs.

Responsibilities

IT Support (Primary Focus)

  • Provide support for
    Windows, Linux, and macOS
    systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for employees
  • Set up and configure workstations, laptops, and peripherals
  • Respond to user issues with professionalism and patience

Systems Administration (Entry-Level)

  • Assist in administering on-premise
    Linux servers
  • Apply updates, perform routine maintenance, and monitor system health
  • Help with
    backups and server upkeep

Networking

  • Troubleshoot common issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Assist with maintaining a reliable and secure office network

Tools & Environments

  • Work with IT Service Management (ITSM) and ticketing tools (e.g., GLPI, Snipe-IT)
  • Support and manage productivity & collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
  • Assist with domain and email administration

Proactive IT Improvements

  • Spot inefficiencies in current IT workflows
  • Research and recommend tools (e.g., for remote support, automation, asset tracking)
  • Support implementation with guidance from the team

Scripting & Automation (Learning Opportunity)

  • Learn and apply
    basic scripting
    (Bash or PowerShell)
  • Explore ways to automate repetitive tasks

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and IT assets
  • Ensure spare devices are ready for deployment

Candidate Profile

  • Recently graduated from an
    IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related program
    OR have demonstrable experience via certifications or personal projects
  • 0–6 months of experience in IT support or systems administration (internships, part-time, or projects all count)
  • Familiarity with
    Windows, Linux, or macOS
    environments
  • Understanding of
    basic networking concepts
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and
    user-focused
    mindset
