Job Opening: Guidance Counsellors – SuperNova College, F-8 Campus, Islamabad

Role Description:SuperNova College is seeking passionate and dedicated Guidance Counsellors to join our F-8 Campus. As trusted mentors, our counsellors play a pivotal role in shaping students' academic journeys and career pathways. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will work closely with IGCSE and A-Level students to support them in building strong academic and extracurricular profiles that prepare them for admissions to world-class universities.

Location of F-8 Campus: SuperNova College, F-8 Campus

Key Responsibilities:Provide one-on-one and group counselling to guide students in exploring future academic and career paths.Assist students in building their portfolios by identifying opportunities such as internships, social work, online courses, and co-curricular activities aligned with their intended majors.Support students in writing, editing, and enhancing their personal essays and personal statements for university applications.Guide students through international application processes, including creating and managing accounts on UCAS, CommonApp, and other global university portals.Regularly share and advertise opportunities for summer schools, exchange programs, and enrichment activitiesat top-ranked universities.Mentor students in developing leadership, initiative, and community engagement through meaningful projects.Conduct workshops for students and parents on admissions timelines, scholarship opportunities, and profile-building strategies.Maintain updated knowledge of global higher education trends and admission requirements across the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and beyond.Collaborate with academic staff, senior leadership, and parents to create a supportive ecosystem for student success.

Qualification Criteria:

Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, Career Guidance, or a related field.A Master's degree or certification in Career/College Counselling will be an advantage.

Professional Experience:Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in counselling, career advising, or university guidance (preferably at a Cambridge, IB, or reputed international curriculum institution).Strong record of successfully supporting students in securing admissions at competitive universities.

Skills & Attributes:In-depth understanding of global higher education systems and application processes.Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills to build trust with students and parents.Ability to inspire, motivate, and empower students to achieve their goals.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.Collaborative team player with a growth mindset and a passion for education.
