Role Description

We are seeking an
experienced Medical Biller
who specializes in
Home Health Agency billing
and is well-versed in handling
Medi-Cal, PPO, HMO, and other commercial insurance plans
.

The ideal candidate should have
strong knowledge of authorizations, eligibility verification, claims submission, and denial management
— with the ability to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for all payors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage
    end-to-end billing cycle
    for Home Health Agencies (Medi-Cal, PPO, HMO, and commercial insurances).
  • Perform
    eligibility and benefits verification
    for new and existing patients.
  • Obtain
    prior authorizations
    for all required services.
  • Prepare, review, and
    submit clean claims
    through clearinghouses or payer portals.
  • Handle
    denial management, re-submissions, and appeals
    efficiently.
  • Maintain
    accurate billing records
    and follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Ensure compliance with
    HIPAA
    and all payer billing regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3
    + years of experience
    in medical billing (Home Health preferred).
  • Expertise in
    Medi-Cal, PPO, HMO
    , and commercial insurance billing processes.
  • Strong understanding of
    authorization, eligibility, and denial management workflows.
  • Proficiency with
    billing software
    and payer portals (Availity, Office Ally, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
