About the Role

Abid Brothers & Construction Company is seeking a skilled
Accountant
with proven experience in the
construction industry
. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and support project budgeting and cost tracking. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with construction-related financial transactions, and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update daily financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
  • Prepare and manage
    invoices, receipts, and payments
    related to construction projects.
  • Monitor
    project expenses, vendor payments, and petty cash transactions.
  • Assist in
    budget preparation, cost estimation, and financial reporting
    .
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate documentation for audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and local tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with
    project managers, site engineers, and vendors
    for expense tracking and billing.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries for management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
    (B.Com / M.Com preferred).
  • 2–3 years of experience
    as an Accountant in a
    construction or contracting company
    (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of
    construction project accounting, billing, and cost control
    .
  • Proficient in
    MS Excel
    and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
  • Understanding of
    taxation, vendor management, and payroll processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
