Job Title: VAT Specialist

Location: Islamabad/KarachiPosition Overview:

We are seeking a skilled VAT Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience, with a strong emphasis on VAT compliance in the UAE and KSA regions. This role requires a deep understanding of VAT regulations and the ability to ensure compliance and efficiency across all VAT-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

VAT Compliance Management:

  • Ensure the timely and accurate filing of VAT returns as per UAE and KSA regulations.
  • Handle VAT compliance processes including the preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns.

Regulatory Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Keep abreast with the latest developments in VAT legislation within the UAE and KSA.
  • Prepare detailed reports and communicate any changes affecting the company to relevant stakeholders.

Audit and Risk Management:

  • Prepare for and manage VAT audits and inspections.
  • Ensure all VAT operations are conducted in accordance with established controls and processes to minimize the risk.

Stakeholder Liaison:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate VAT audits and resolve VAT compliance issues.

Training and Development:

  • Provide guidance and training to team members and other departments on VAT-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in VAT compliance, specifically within the UAE and KSA.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and statutory requirements in the UAE and KSA.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in accounting or taxation will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in a multinational or consulting firm environment or big 4 experience will be preferred.

Note: Candidates from Islamabad will be preferred.
