Senior Manager Projects

About the client:

One of the Top Construction companies in Pakistan, having approx 1000+ employees, is hiring a Business Development Manager for its Lahore office.

Job Summary:

Job Role Main
(Duties on which candidate will spend more than 70% of his time)

• Oversee and manage multiple civil construction projects simultaneously, ensuring all work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

• Lead and guide project teams, including project managers, site engineers, and supervisors, to achieve organizational objectives and maintain high performance standards.

• Develop and review project execution plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective and timely project delivery.

• Monitor site progress through reports and visits, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures to maintain progress and quality.

• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, technical specifications, and safety protocols across all project sites.

• Coordinate with procurement, planning, finance, and other departments for timely availability of materials, equipment, and resources.

• Review and approve subcontractor bills, purchase requisitions, and site expense reports, ensuring cost control and budget compliance.

• Establish and maintain strong communication channels with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth coordination and timely approvals.

• Conduct regular project review meetings and present progress updates, challenges, and recommendations to senior management.

• Supervise material approvals, testing procedures, and ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements.

• Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards at all construction sites.

• Evaluate manpower deployment, monitor productivity, and ensure effective utilization of labor and equipment.

• Support business development by assisting in project evaluations, technical proposals, and tender documentation when required.

• Lead project close-out activities including inspections, reconciliation, and handover documentation.

• Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by senior management to ensure successful project completion and organizational growth

Job Role Secondary
(Duties on which candidates will spend less than 30% time)

• Assist senior management in project planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for upcoming and ongoing projects.

• Participate in internal project audits, quality reviews, and lessons-learned sessions to improve future project execution.

• Collaborate with procurement and contracts teams for vendor prequalification, evaluation, and performance monitoring.

• Prepare analytical reports on project performance metrics, resource utilization, and productivity trends for management review.

• Engage in mentoring and professional development of site engineers and supervisors through technical guidance and on-the-job training.

• Represent the Projects Department in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies when required.

• Contribute to strategic initiatives, process improvements, and implementation of digital project management tools.

• Undertake any additional assignments, reviews, or management-directed tasks aligned with the companys operational and strategic goals.

Required Qualification:
BSc Civil Engineering / DAE

Experience:
7 - 10 years of experience in any Construction company
