Lab Operations Manager

This role is an exciting opportunity to ensure the quality of products and processes at GSK. You will oversee laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Collaboration is key, as you'll work with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards. We value candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure testing and release of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and stability samples meet quality standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and systems, ensuring calibration and validation are up-to-date.
• Implement and monitor compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), regulatory requirements, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Lead investigations into quality issues, deviations, and out-of-specification results, ensuring timely resolution.
• Train and develop laboratory staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Manage laboratory budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while meeting operational goals.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• MSc Chemistry or Pharm D
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and laboratory operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading teams and managing laboratory operations.
• Familiarity with local regulatory standards and pharmacopoeia requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
