Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions, including sales, receipts, invoices, and payments.
  • Record transactions related to airline ticketing, hotel bookings, tours, and other travel services.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable regularly.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Generate management reports highlighting revenue streams, expenses, and profitability by business segment.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

3. Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, withholding tax, sales tax, and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with auditors for annual audits.
  • Implement internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.

4. Cash & Bank Management

  • Manage company bank accounts and perform daily reconciliations.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Oversee payments to suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc.).

5. Cost & Revenue Management

  • Track revenue from different travel products (tickets, tours, packages, visas).
  • Analyze costs and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Support pricing strategies by providing financial analysis.

6. Coordination & Support

  • Liaise with operational staff and travel consultants for accurate financial data.
  • Work closely with management on business strategy and investment decisions.
  • Support external stakeholders (banks, auditors, tax authorities) as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting/finance (experience in the travel industry is an advantage).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or ERP systems) and MS Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
