Position Summary:
The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department, assisting with various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy implementation, and data management. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of HR best practices, particularly within the fast-paced IT and digital marketing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Support:
- Assist in posting job advertisements on various platforms (job boards, social media, professional networks).
- Screen resumes and applications, shortlisting candidates based on defined criteria.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, communicating with candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems.
- Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Prepare new hire paperwork and facilitate the onboarding process for new employees.
- Assist with orientation programs, ensuring new hires are properly integrated into the company culture.
- Support the offboarding process, including exit formalities and documentation.
- Employee Relations & Support:
- Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist in resolving basic employee relations issues, escalating complex matters to the HR Manager.
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
- HR Administration & Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (both digital and physical files).
- Process HR-related documentation (e.g., offer letters, contracts, performance reviews, leave requests).
- Assist in preparing HR reports and presentations as required.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Support data collection efforts related to retention, performance, and other HR metrics.
- Policy Implementation:
- Assist in the communication and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Help ensure employee adherence to company guidelines.
- General HR Support:
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager and other team members.
- Assist with organizing company events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years of proven experience as an HR Assistant or in a similar HR support role, preferably within the IT, software development, or digital marketing industry.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and labor laws in Pakistan.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
