Job Summary:

Zia-ul-Haq & Sons is looking for QC (Inspection) Officer who will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and porta cabin fabrication, assembly, and installation activities meet the company quality standards and client specifications. The role involves hands-on inspection, verification of materials, reviewing design compliance, and ensuring all QC documentation is properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed inspection of mechanical works and porta cabin fabrication, including structure, welding, plumbing, electrical fit-outs, insulation, painting, and finishing.
  • Verify that all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and QA/QC procedures.
  • Conduct incoming material inspections to ensure conformity with technical specifications.
  • Monitor and record all fabrication, installation, and testing activities at various project stages.
  • Coordinate with the Project Engineer and Contractor/Subcontractor teams to ensure timely rectification of non-conformities.
  • Prepare and maintain all inspection reports, checklists, and quality records.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and handover of QC dossiers upon project completion.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to during inspection activities.
  • Support continuous improvement in the quality system through reporting and corrective actions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university (preferably NED, DOW, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in Quality Control / Quality Inspection within mechanical or modular / porta cabin projects.
  • Strong understanding of welding, structural fabrication, HVAC, plumbing, and finishing works.
  • Familiar with QA/QC documentation, inspection procedures, and testing methods.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills.
