Position Overview

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for developing and executing the company's technology strategy to support overall business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. This position requires strategic vision, technical expertise, and cross-functional coordination skills to lead a team in a rapidly changing digital environment and build an efficient, secure, and scalable technology ecosystem for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

Develop and execute the company's overall IT strategy, working closely with senior leadership to ensure technology planning supports business objectives.

Evaluate emerging technology trends (such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity) and develop application plans to enhance business competitiveness.

Establish an IT governance structure to ensure system security, compliance, and sustainability.

Plan the annual IT budget to ensure resource allocation and maximize return on investment.

Systems and Infrastructure Management

Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-wide systems, including ERP, CRM, data center, and network architecture.

Lead cloud migration, virtualization, and system integration projects to ensure efficient and reliable infrastructure.

Manage information security policies to mitigate the risks of data breaches, cyberattacks, and system failures.

Ensure effective implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Team and Cross-Departmental Collaboration

Lead and develop a cross-functional IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Work closely with business, marketing, finance, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment of technical initiatives with operational goals.

Provide technical advice to senior management, assisting with decision-making and risk assessment.

Manage external technology vendors and partners to ensure quality and cost-effective delivery.

Innovation and Digital Transformation

Drive digital transformation projects, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize business processes and customer experience.

Explore the business applications of artificial intelligence, automation, and analytics to enhance organizational efficiency and innovation.

Establish technology innovation labs or pilot programs to accelerate the testing and implementation of new technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

8–15+ years of IT management experience, including at least 5 years in leadership positions.

Familiarity with enterprise architecture, cloud computing (AWS/Azure/GCP), information security, and systems integration.

Strong strategic planning and cross-departmental communication skills.

Excellent team leadership and project management skills.

Experience in digital transformation, AI, or big data projects is preferred.
