Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Senior Construction Draftsman
to lead the preparation of construction drawings and coordinate the drafting team for residential renovations such as dormers, extensions, and structural alterations. You will ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency throughout the drawing process, from the initial sketch to the permit application, while mentoring junior draftsmen and optimizing team workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review detailed construction drawings for residential renovations (e.g., dormers, extensions, breakthroughs, structural alterations).
  • Coordinate and lead the drawing team, ensuring an efficient and well-structured workflow.
  • Review, check, and maintain the quality, accuracy, and consistency of all drawings.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior draftsmen to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers, construction companies, and local authorities to support smooth and timely permitting procedures.
  • Drive the optimization and standardization of drafting processes for faster and more reliable project delivery.

Required skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Technology.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience as a construction/architectural draftsman, with proven expertise in residential renovation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and permit procedures.
  • Experience in team coordination or leadership within a drafting/design environment.
  • Proficiency in
    AutoCAD, Revit
    , or similar drafting software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a structured, solution-oriented working style.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and process efficiency.
