Job Summary –

The Sports & Taekwondo Teacher is responsible for conducting physical education classes, training students in Taekwondo, and organizing various sports and fitness activities. The role also includes managing the morning assembly, maintaining discipline across the school, and fostering values of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. The teacher ensures the holistic development of students by promoting physical fitness, discipline, and character-building through sports and martial arts.

Job Description (JDs) -

Teaching & Training:

• Deliver Physical Education and Taekwondo lessons as per school schedule.
• Train students in Taekwondo techniques, physical fitness drills, and self-defense.
• Prepare students for belt tests, inter-school tournaments, and sports competitions.
• Develop structured fitness plans for different age groups.

Morning Assembly & Discipline:

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily morning assemblies.
• Lead students in drills, exercises, and national anthem/prayers.
• Assist in maintaining discipline inside and outside the classroom.
• Monitor student behaviour and ensure adherence to school rules.

Student Development:

• Promote teamwork, respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
• Encourage active participation of all students in sports and physical activities.
• Identify talented students and provide additional coaching and mentoring.

Events & Activities:

• Organize Sports Day, inter-house competitions, and fitness activities.
• Conduct Taekwondo demonstrations, awareness sessions, and tournaments.
• Support co-curricular programs and school events as assigned.

Administrative & Safety Duties:

• Maintain student attendance, performance records, and activity reports.
• Ensure safety and discipline during training sessions and school assemblies.
• Coordinate with administration for resources, event planning, and schedules.

Other Responsibilities:

• Promote health, fitness, and discipline as part of school culture.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff for smooth execution of events.
• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the school administration.
