Business Development Manager

We are seeking a results-driven and strategic
Business Development Manager (BDM)
to lead business growth initiatives, identify new opportunities, and build long-term relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase revenue, expand market presence, and promote the company's products and services. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, along with a strong understanding of sales processes and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across local and international markets.
- Develop and implement
strategic business plans
to achieve growth and revenue targets. - Conduct
market research and competitive analysis
to identify trends, emerging markets, and potential clients. - Collaborate with leadership to define target industries, market positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through continuous outreach, prospecting, and relationship-building.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with
key decision-makers, clients, and stakeholders
. - Conduct meetings and presentations to pitch products, services, and solutions effectively.
- Understand client pain points and provide tailored solutions that align with their business goals.
- Ensure a smooth transition of clients from prospecting to onboarding by coordinating with internal teams.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Sales Operations & Performance Tracking
- Drive the
end-to-end sales cycle
, from lead generation and proposal drafting to negotiation and deal closure. - Prepare
sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses
for management review. - Manage and update CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to ensure accurate billing, contracts, and service delivery.
Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Work closely with
marketing, technical, and delivery teams
to align business development efforts with project capabilities. - Provide input to the marketing team for campaign creation and promotional strategies.
- Mentor and support junior sales or business development executives as needed.
- Represent the company at
industry events, conferences, and networking sessions
to strengthen brand visibility.
Continuous Improvement & Market Insights
- Stay updated on
industry trends, client requirements, and competitor offerings
. - Provide feedback to management and product teams to enhance service offerings.
- Suggest process improvements to optimize sales efficiency and customer engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
(MBA preferred). - 3–6 years of experience in
business development, sales, or client acquisition
, preferably in IT, SaaS, or service-based industries. - Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of
B2B sales, client relationship management, and contract negotiation
. - Excellent
communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
. - Proficiency in
CRM tools (HubSpot, Odoo, Zoho, or Salesforce)
and MS Office Suite. - Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a results-oriented approach.
